Marketing Intern
SEASON: Fall/Winter
Jones Soda Co. is looking for a marketing intern during the fall and winter semesters. This will be
an unpaid internship for 3- 6 months. The goal of this internship is to help college students have
hands-on experience in the “real” world and a foot in the door in a very competitive industry. The
intern will report to the Marketing Assistant who will manage his/her schedule. The intern will
work 5-10 hours a week and sometimes weekends (for marketing events). The job
responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Maintain media database
2. Media clippings and maintain media clip files
3. Send out samples to media
4. Handle athlete sponsorship/event donation correspondence (phone calls,
letter writing, care packages, etc.)
5. Assist in online promotions
6. Assist in sampling at marketing events
7. Research marketing opportunities or events
8. Perform other administrative tasks as needed (such as labeling, filing, etc.)
In order to qualify for an internship at Jones Soda Co., candidates should be majoring in public
relations, communications, English, journalism, business, marketing or a related major.
Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and
the ability to manage multiple priorities and be organized.
