Job Description
We are looking for a National Banquets and Events Coordinator to join the Corporate Events Department in our Daytona Beach office. This position will be responsible for managing the coordination of all aspects of NASCAR’s National Series awards banquets, corporate summits and other high profile production and/or hospitality based events. Duties include but are not limited to: * Event planning from inception to execution including food and beverage, invitations, logistics, transportation, and hotel room blocks. * Management of high-end corporate productions including scenic, audio, visual and video production oversight. * Run of show and script project management. * Initiate and manage contracts for venue, talent and production. * Forecast, track and report events’ budget. * Prepare Executive communication and presentations. Required skills/experience: * Bachelor’s Degree preferred. * 3 to 5 years of high-end Special Events Management experience. * Exceptional skills in MS office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Approximately 30 % travel required including weekends. Higher percentage of travel during award banquet season (September – December). The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with little supervision, be a creative problem solver, have the ability to multitask, and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be well organized with attention to detail and be flexible while managing shifting priorities.
