TransWorld SURF magazine - INTERNSHIP
Description:
TransWorld SURF is currently accepting applications for internships for Winter 2007. This is a non-paying internship opportunity for students seeking transferable college credit. Our offices are located in Oceanside, California. If you are an international or out of state student you are welcome to apply, but the internship will require that you work in our offices, and unfortunately we are unable to offer housing assistance. Familiarity with Apple computers, Microsoft Office, HTML, and Photoshop are a plus.
This is a good opportunity for motivated students interested in learning about all aspects of journalism and magazine publishing, including writing, editing, layout, and design. Interest or participation in surfing is mandatory, and there will be a short quiz on general surf knowledge as part of the interviewing process. This is an editorial internship, and while we work with design, photography, and layout, we are looking for students with a focus on writing and editing, rather than photographers or designers.
YOU MUST BE A CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENT RECEIVING COLLEGE CREDIT FOR AN INTERNSHIP OR INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAM FOR THE WINTER 07 QUARTER/SEMESTER. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE CRITERIA. DUE TO THE VOLUME OF SUBMISSIONS, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONDING TO APPLICANTS WHO DONT MEET THESE CRITERIA.
