Email Marketing Manager
Bluefly.com, a leading online merchant offering top designer and name brand apparel, is seeking
an Email Marketing Manager. This position is part of an exciting, highly visible team that is
expanding its direct marketing initiatives. There is great opportunity to learn and play a key role in
implementing new programs to increase customer loyalty. Reporting to the Chief Marketing
Officer, this position will be responsible for the tactical and strategic planning of acquisition email
programs targeting subscribers and new customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the development of email marketing strategies, audience segmentation
recommendations, and email test plan designs – specific focus will be on customer
acquisition and customer segmentation.
• Manage overall contact strategy to subscribers and new customers always looking to
continually improve the program.
• Retain existing customers by monitoring and analyzing their behavior and engagement
through the Customer File Model.
• Develop direct mail programs for new customers and subscribers.
• Determine new ways to acquire names through email acquisition
• Manage email promotional calendar; oversee email messages and design
• Meet with upper management on a weekly basis to discuss and plan promotional calendar
for email and onsite
• Create reports and analyze email marketing program on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly
basis, specifically focusing on ways to increase opens, clicks, conversion, $/buyer.
• Liaison with several teams including design, merchants, online retail and business
intelligence to ensure all email requirements are met.
Qualifications
• 4-year college degree required
• 3+ years of Internet, Marketing and/or Business Development experience in a B2C industry
required
• Email Marketing experience required
• Exceptional work ethic, ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong quantitative and analytical experience
• Enthusiastic about email and direct marketing.
• Aptitude to understand databases and related technologies.
• Highly organized and efficient with time management skills; detail oriented
• Microsoft Excel skills required
